Our teamwork-focused culture is characterized by cooperation, collaboration, and fairness. Proceeds from our thrift shoppes help us to provide our survivors with needed services. We are looking for fun, friendly people to work in our upbeat work environment. In preparation for display on the sales floor, the Thrift Shoppe Retail Stocker sorts, processes, and prices donated merchandise in accordance with established procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND STANDARDS
include the following. Other responsibilities may be assigned. Prepare donated merchandise for resale. Keep clothing racks organized, clean and stocked. Keep work area clean and organized. Help cashiers with clothing returns and supply them with hangers. Provide customer service while on the sales floor. Assist with layout, organization, and arrangement of merchandise for display. Report needed repairs and supplies to the Store Manager. Assist with cleaning and organizing the backroom as needed. Assist with cleaning restrooms and emptying trash receptacles throughout the store. Maintain confidentiality of Betty Griffin Center participants who come in to shop. Perform other tasks as directed by the Store Manager. Attend Thrift Shoppe meetings as scheduled.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education and/or
Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), must be 18 years or older.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables.
