Cashier and Food Preparation Hollywood, FL 33020 $15 an hour - Temporary, Part-time, Seasonal, Full-time $15 an hour - Temporary, Part-time, Seasonal, Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cashier/Prep worker to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the kitchen/ food truck by assisting with food preparation and ensuring that all ingredients are ready for cooking. This position requires a passion for food, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Cashier/Prep worker will contribute to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality while supporting the overall operations of the kitchen. Also includes cleaning and organizing the workplace. Duties Cashier taking orders and Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items. Follow recipes and instructions from chefs to ensure consistency in food preparation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace and food truck, including proper storage of ingredients. Adhere to food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure safe handling of all food products. Support the culinary team during meal service by preparing dishes as needed. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other food preparation tools. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and assist in catering events when necessary. Skills Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations within the food industry. Experience in culinary arts or previous roles within a dietary department is preferred. Proficient in food handling techniques, including proper knife skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
