Assist with food preparation, ensuring all items meet quality standards and food safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including the kitchen, dining space, and cashier station, following proper sanitation procedures. Support food service operations by bussing tables, restocking supplies, and managing food delivery to customers promptly. Upsell menu items and promote specials to increase sales and enhance customer satisfaction through effective sales techniques. Handle cash register operations with accuracy, including basic math for transactions and balancing cash drawers at shift end. Collaborate with team members to ensure quick service in a fast food or quick service restaurant environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Experience Prior experience in food service, cashiering, or retail environments is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus. Experience in food handling, sanitation practices, and basic math skills are highly desirable. Previous work in a quick service or fast food restaurant helps build an understanding of high-volume customer flow. Knowledge of kitchen operations or culinary experience can enhance your ability to support food prep tasks effectively. Strong time management skills are essential for multitasking during busy periods while maintaining excellent customer service.
