Overview Join our dynamic retail team as a Cashier, where your energy and enthusiasm will create a welcoming shopping experience for every customer. In this vital role, you will handle transactions efficiently, provide exceptional customer service, and contribute to the overall success of our store. Duties Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with product information and demos when needed Manage cash handling responsibilities with precision, including balancing registers at shift end Upsell products and promote store promotions to enhance customer experience and sales performance Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented Provide excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely Support inventory management through stocking, product demos, and merchandising efforts maintaining cleanliness of the front counter, dining area, and restrooms. Tables wiped regularly, trash removed before overflow, and spills addressed. Experience Prior cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn Demonstrated proficiency with POS systems and basic math skills for cash handling transactions Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers Supervising experience is advantageous for those interested in leadership opportunities within the team Must be able to carry 25lbs boxes. Must be able to do basic cleaning.
