$14.00 - $15.00 per hour Job description: Job Summary Join our dynamic retail team as a Cashier/Customer Service Associate, where your energy and enthusiasm will create a welcoming environment for every customer. In this role, you will be the friendly face that assists shoppers with their purchases, manages transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems, and provides exceptional service to ensure a positive shopping experience. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help drive sales, promote products through demos and upselling, and maintain a well-organized store environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your retail skills while making meaningful connections with customers. Responsibilities Operate POS systems efficiently to process transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card payments Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and resolving concerns promptly Assist customers with product demos and upselling to enhance their shopping experience and increase sales Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented Support inventory management through stocking, inventory checks, and participating in regular stock replenishment Demonstrate strong communication skills by engaging with bilingual customers and providing clear information about products and store policies Uphold phone etiquette standards when handling inquiries or assisting customers over the phone Experience Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment preferred but not required; training will be provided Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for cash handling and sales transactions Supervising experience is a plus, especially in overseeing team members or assisting with training new staff Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, to connect effectively with diverse customers Experience in product demos, merchandising, stocking, or upselling is advantageous for success in this role
