Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth transactions at checkout. Duties
- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions with customers
- Scan goods and collect payments
- Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers
- Maintain a clean and tidy checkout area
- Ensure pricing is accurate
- Assist customers in locating products
- Promote special offers or discounts
- Manage exchanges and returns Skills
- Proficiency in retail math and basic math skills
- Experience in a grocery store or retail environment is a plus
- Ability to operate Point of Sale (POS) systems
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Sales experience is beneficial
- Capability to supervise and lead when necessary
