The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, handling transactions accurately, and maintaining a welcoming shopping environment. This role is essential in ensuring smooth store operations and enhancing the customer experience through effective communication and sales skills. Responsibilities Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales transactions accurately and quickly Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases, including product demos when necessary Handle cash, credit, and other payment methods with precision and integrity Maintain knowledge of store products to assist customers with upselling and product recommendations Manage merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves and organizing displays to ensure an attractive shopping environment Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and inventory counts Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone or via other communication channels Support supervising staff during busy periods or special events, including product demonstrations and promotional activities Requirements Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or grocery store environments preferred Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse customers effectively Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math calculations Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures Bilingual abilities are a plus to better serve a diverse customer base Experience in supervising or leading team members is advantageous but not required Ability to perform merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves and organizing displays Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail setting while maintaining attention to detail This position offers an opportunity to develop valuable retail skills within a dynamic team environment dedicated to providing exceptional customer experiences.
