Part-time Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, processing transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. If you have strong interpersonal skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced retail environment, we would love to hear from you.Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide them with prompt and courteous service
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using cash registers or point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions with precision
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including cleaning registers and conveyor belts
- Answer customer inquiries regarding products, promotions, and store policies
- Assist customers in locating merchandise within the store
- Upsell products or services to customers when appropriate
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals
Skills:
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a positive shopping experience for customers
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transactions
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of retail math concepts for calculating discounts, percentages, and sales tax
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience in jewelry sales, retail sales, electronics sales, or technology sales is a plus
