Duties Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges swiftly. Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and other payment methods with precision and integrity. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering questions, and guiding them through their shopping experience. Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging additional sales through effective upselling techniques. Assist with merchandising by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are attractive and accessible. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area while adhering to store policies on cash handling and security procedures. Use strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and assist customers via phone etiquette when needed. Skills Proven experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures in a retail or grocery store environment. Supervising experience is a plus; capable of guiding new team members or assisting in training. Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions, discounts, and inventory counts. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and professional phone etiquette. Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively. Knowledge of merchandising, stocking techniques, and product presentation strategies. Strong communication skills to engage customers confidently and collaborate with team members seamlessly.
