Duties Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales transactions, returns, and exchanges. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and offering product recommendations. Conduct product demos when applicable to showcase features and benefits to customers. Assist with merchandising and stocking shelves to ensure products are well-presented and accessible. Upsell complementary products to enhance the customer's shopping experience and increase sales. Maintain proper cash handling procedures, including balancing registers at shift end. Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or taking inquiries. Support inventory management by participating in stock counts and organizing merchandise displays. Supervise or assist new team members as needed, fostering a collaborative work environment. Promote a clean, organized checkout area that adheres to safety and store standards. Experience Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn! Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for accurate cash handling. Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers. Experience in supervising or leading small teams is advantageous but not mandatory. Knowledge of grocery store operations, merchandising, and stock management is beneficial. Ability to demonstrate product features confidently and engage customers effectively. Excellent phone etiquette skills to handle customer inquiries professionally.
