The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while efficiently handling transactions. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage cash handling accurately. The Cashier will also assist with stocking shelves and maintaining the cleanliness of the checkout area. Responsibilities Operate cash registers and process customer transactions accurately and efficiently. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing any concerns. Assist with stocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels to ensure product availability. Promote additional products through upselling techniques to enhance the customer experience. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth operations. Supervise junior staff as needed, providing guidance on best practices in customer service and cash handling. Requirements Previous experience in a retail or cashier role is preferred but not mandatory. Strong cash handling skills with a basic understanding of retail math. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Proficiency in operating cash registers and related technology. Strong customer service orientation with a friendly demeanor.
