Duties Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges with speed and precision Provide friendly and professional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and offering product recommendations Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities that enhance the customer experience Maintain clean and organized checkout areas, ensuring merchandise is properly stocked and displayed for easy access Assist with merchandising efforts by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented Handle cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods securely while adhering to cash handling procedures Use effective phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or taking orders remotely Support inventory management through stock replenishment and participating in periodic stock counts Qualifications Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse customers and team members Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve our multicultural customer base effectively Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations Knowledge of POS systems and cashiering procedures is a plus; training will be provided if needed Demonstrated ability to multitask efficiently in a busy retail setting while maintaining attention to detail Experience supervising or mentoring team members is advantageous but not mandatory; leadership qualities are appreciated Familiarity with merchandising, stocking, product demos, upselling techniques, and phone etiquette enhances your fit for this role Embark on a rewarding journey where your positive energy fuels exceptional customer experiences!
