Cashier / Customer Experience Associate Pee-Paw's Antique Maw Fairmont City, IL Part-Time Position 18 to 25 hours per week. Potential for future full-time opportunities Pee-Paw's Antique Maw is not your average antique mall. We're a fast-growing, fun, high-energy destination on Historic Route 66 with hundreds of vendors, thousands of unique items, and customers from all over the region walking through our doors every day. We're looking for more than just someone to stand behind a register. We want an outgoing, dependable, friendly person who enjoys people, works well independently, and wants to be part of a fun team environment. If you're someone who likes staying busy, talking with customers, and working in a place full of nostalgia, music, collectibles, antiques, oddities, and personality, you'll probably fit right in. Schedule Requirements Must be available evenings and weekends We are open 7 days a week from 9 AM to 8 PM Flexible scheduling may be available, but weekend availability is important Responsibilities Operate cash register and process customer transactions accurately Handle cash, credit card, and check payments Balance registers and assist with basic closing procedures Greet and engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner Help create a welcoming, upbeat customer experience Answer basic customer questions and assist shoppers when needed Perform light cleaning and front-end upkeep Assist with café/snack area duties when needed Work independently during slower periods while staying productive Qualifications Previous retail, cashier, or customer service experience preferred Strong communication and people skills Friendly, outgoing, and dependable personality Basic math skills for cash handling and balancing drawers Basic typing/computer skills Ability to stand on your feet for extended periods of time Ability to multitask in a busy environment Must be able to complete a basic food handler certification
