Cashier

Northside Wine & Spirits, located in Jacksonville, IL, is looking for a dedicated Sales Associate to join our team. This role involves assisting customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience, and maintaining the store's cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist customers in selecting wines, spirits, and other beverages. Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and making recommendations. Check IDs for age verification to ensure customers are of legal age. Handle cash register transactions, including processing sales and returns. Keep the store clean and organized by sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming as needed. Stock shelves and ensure products are displayed correctly and attractively. Assist with inventory management and restocking of products.

Requirements:

Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to check customer IDs to verify legal age for alcohol, lottery, and tobacco/cigarettes. Strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor. Ability to maintain store cleanliness and organization. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming. Ability to lift 20 lbs. Previous retail or customer service experience is recommended.
