As a Cashier, you'll play a key role in maintaining store operations, promoting products, and fostering customer loyalty. Duties Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and mobile payments with precision and integrity Provide friendly assistance to customers by answering questions about products and store policies Conduct product demos when applicable to enhance customer understanding and engagement Upsell additional items or services to maximize sales opportunities while respecting customer preferences Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area to ensure an inviting environment Assist with merchandising, stocking shelves, and organizing displays to support store presentation goals Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone or via online inquiries Support team members by supervising or mentoring new staff when needed in a supervisory capacity Experience Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store setting is preferred but not required Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is highly desirable Strong communication skills in both English and bilingual capabilities are a plus for serving diverse customers Experience in retail sales, upselling, merchandising, and stock management will set you apart Basic math skills are essential for accurate cash handling and transaction processing Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude Supervising experience is advantageous for those interested in leadership roles within the team Join us to be part of an energetic team dedicated to delivering outstanding shopping experiences!
