Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist with their needs at the pump and inside the store Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process transactions including fuel sales, merchandise, and convenience items Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with integrity and accuracy Conduct product demonstrations and upsell items such as snacks, beverages, or car accessories to enhance customer satisfaction and sales Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including stocking shelves, merchandising products, and ensuring displays are attractive Provide excellent phone etiquette when taking orders or answering customer inquiries over the phone Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels, restocking shelves, and participating in regular inventory counts Promote safety protocols at all times, including monitoring fuel pumps and ensuring compliance with health regulations Experience Previous cashiering experience in retail or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for handling transactions accurately Strong communication skills with an emphasis on friendly customer interactions in a bilingual environment is a plus Demonstrated ability to supervise or lead team members during shifts is advantageous Experience in upselling, merchandising, or product demos will help you excel in this role Knowledge of phone etiquette and excellent customer service skills are essential for creating positive experiences Prior retail sales or grocery store experience is beneficial for understanding inventory management and sales techniques This role is perfect for motivated individuals who thrive in lively environments and enjoy engaging with customers.
