Job Overview Join our dynamic retail team as a Cashier, where you will be the friendly face that greets customers and ensures a smooth, efficient checkout experience. This energetic role is vital in creating a welcoming environment, handling transactions accurately, and providing exceptional customer service. As a Cashier, you will play a key part in driving sales through upselling and product knowledge while maintaining the store's merchandising standards. Your positive attitude and strong communication skills will help foster customer loyalty and enhance their shopping experience. Duties Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process transactions quickly and accurately Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with product demos when needed Handle cash, credit, and digital payments with precision and confidence Upsell products and promote store specials to maximize sales opportunities Maintain clean and organized checkout areas, restock supplies, and assist with merchandising efforts Support stocking activities to ensure shelves are well-stocked and visually appealing Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring satisfaction Requirements Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment preferred Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and bilingual abilities a plus Demonstrated ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and retail math calculations Supervising experience is advantageous for leadership opportunities or team support roles Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work in a fast-paced setting Knowledge of grocery store operations, merchandising, stocking, and retail sales practices Join us to be part of a lively team dedicated to delivering outstanding service!
