Cashier/Stocker

Job Summary We are looking for a dedicated and energetic Cashier/Stocker to join our retail team at Elite Beverages, a liquor store located in McCordsville, IN. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service at the point of sale, managing cash transactions accurately, and ensuring the store remains well-stocked and organized. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to multitask efficiently. This position offers an opportunity to develop retail sales skills while contributing to a positive shopping experience for our customers. Responsibilities Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently to process transactions, including cash, credit, and digital payments Provide exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers with product inquiries Maintain accurate cash handling procedures and reconcile cash registers at shift end Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure products are properly displayed according to merchandising standards Assist with inventory management by stocking new shipments Maintain professional phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and a welcoming environment Must feel comfortable working alone and closing the store at the end of shift Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for cash handling and transactions Ability to perform basic math accurately and handle cash confidently Knowledge of merchandising techniques and stock management practices Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Must have or be able to obtain an Indiana Liquor License This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to develop their retail expertise while delivering outstanding service.
