As a Cashier, you will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service while handling transactions and ensuring a smooth checkout experience. Your ability to engage with customers, promote products, and accurately manage cash transactions will contribute to the overall success of our store. Responsibilities Process customer transactions quickly and accurately using the cash register. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly and addressing their needs. Upsell products by effectively communicating promotions and special offers to customers. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while maintaining accurate cash handling procedures. Assist in stocking shelves and maintaining product displays to ensure an organized shopping environment. Conduct product demos as needed to enhance customer engagement and drive sales. Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area and surrounding spaces. Answer customer inquiries with professionalism, demonstrating strong phone etiquette when needed. Experience Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required. Strong basic math skills for accurate transaction processing. Familiarity with cash handling procedures is a plus. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively. A proactive approach to upselling and promoting products to enhance sales opportunities.
