Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Cashier to join our retail team! Duties Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process transactions accurately and quickly Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries Upsell products and promote store promotions or special offers to enhance sales opportunities Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the sales floor is inviting and well-presented Maintaining a nice and clean environment that is welcoming Requirements Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers Basic math skills for handling transactions, giving correct change, and performing retail math calculations Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures to ensure accuracy at checkout Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Supervising experience or leadership qualities are advantageous for potential growth opportunities within the team Need to have a vehicle and availability to work at our other store in Breaux Bridge if needed Join us if you're passionate about delivering outstanding service, enjoy working with people, and want to be part of a vibrant retail community where your contributions make a difference!
