Full Job Description Job Description:

As a New York Bagel Team Member, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the efficient operation of our bagel shop.

Your responsibilities will include:

Customer Service:

Greeting customers with a friendly demeanor and assisting them in selecting from our variety of bagels, sandwiches and other bakery items. Taking customer orders accurately and efficiently, including customizations and special requests. Serving our delicious premium coffees and lattes. Providing knowledgeable recommendations about our products and offerings.

Cash Handling and POS Operation:

Operating the point-of-sale (POS) system to process customer transactions accurately. Handling cash, credit, and debit card payments in accordance with company policies and procedures. Balancing cash registers at the beginning and end of shifts and reporting any discrepancies to management.

Inventory Management:

Assisting in inventory, stocking and rotation to ensure freshness and minimize waste. Notifying management of low stock levels and assisting with inventory counts as needed. Following inventory management procedures to maintain accurate records of stock levels.

Cleaning and Maintenance:

Cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils, and workstations to maintain a hygienic environment. Sweeping, mopping, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the bakery and customer seating areas. Reporting any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to management promptly.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a bakery, café, or food service environment preferred but not required. Communication and

TEAMWORK.

Excellent customer service skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks with efficiency. Attention to detail and commitment to upholding food safety and hygiene standards. Flexibility to work mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
