Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Gas Station Attendant and Cashier, where you will be the friendly face our customers rely on for a seamless and positive experience. In this energetic role, you'll handle fuel transactions, assist customers with their purchases, and ensure the convenience store area is well-stocked and inviting. Your enthusiasm and excellent communication skills will help create a welcoming environment that keeps customers coming back. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop retail and customer service skills while contributing to a fast-paced, service-oriented setting. Responsibilities Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently to process fuel sales, retail transactions, and customer payments with accuracy and speed Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering questions, and offering product recommendations or upselling when appropriate Manage cash handling procedures, including giving correct change and balancing cash registers at shift end Stock shelves, merchandise displays, and coolers to ensure the store remains clean, organized, and appealing Conduct product demos or assist customers in locating items within the store to enhance their shopping experience Maintain phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers over the phone Support inventory management through stocking, merchandising, and participating in regular stock counts Requirements Previous cashiering or retail sales experience preferred; familiarity with POS systems is a plus Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse customers Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve a broader customer base effectively Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and balancing registers accurately Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor Experience in grocery stores or convenience stores is advantageous but not mandatory Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves and cleaning work areas Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering excellent service while building valuable retail experience.
