Job Description
Overview We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, handle transactions accurately, and contribute to a positive shopping experience. This role is perfect for individuals with strong communication skills and a background in retail sales, grocery store operations, or customer service. Bilingual abilities are a plus to assist diverse customer needs. Duties Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales transactions accurately and quickly Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their shopping experience Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments with precision and responsibility Assist with product demos and upselling to enhance sales opportunities Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented Conduct inventory checks and assist with stock replenishment as needed Promote store promotions and special offers to customers to increase sales Ensure the checkout area remains clean, organized, and welcoming Provide friendly phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or taking inquiries Requirements Previous cashiering or retail sales experience Proficiency with POS systems and basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively Ability to perform cashier duties accurately under pressure during busy hours Supervising experience is a plus for leadership roles or team support responsibilities Bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve a diverse customer base Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and product demos is advantageous Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor at all times Ability to work well in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining attention to detail
