Job Description
Fick & Sons is seeking a motivated Cashier for our Lincoln Marathon location. We're looking for a dependable, friendly Cashier who enjoys helping customers and takes pride in keeping a store running smoothly. If you're someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with the public, and values being part of a locally owned company that cares about its community — we'd love to meet you! Must be able to pass a criminal background check, no exceptions! The successful applicant will provide courteous assistance to customers by handling sales transactions, ensuring products are priced correctly and maintaining store inventory, while performing the following duties: Using the passport registers to check out customers. Monitors activity at gas pumps. Maintains store by stocking shelves, coolers, & freezers. Maintains cleanliness of the store and restrooms. Balancing drawer with paperwork at the end of the shift. Competencies Competent in required jobs skills & knowledge; exhibits ability to learn and apply new skills. Responds promptly to customer needs and requests for service and assistance. Exhibits good listening and comprehension; keeps others adequately informed. Offers assistance and support to co-workers, working cooperatively in group situations. Punctual & Dependable - Consistently to work on time. Observes safety and security procedures. Qualifications Customer Service Experience preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to pass a background test. Authorized to work in the United States. 18 years or older to safely ensure that sales of beer, spirits, tobacco products and lottery tickets comply with state and federal age requirements.
