Duties Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases, product inquiries, and store navigation Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges with accuracy Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and perform cash handling duties responsibly Conduct product demos when applicable to showcase features and benefits to customers Upsell related products or promotions to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries Assist with inventory management tasks such as stock rotation and inventory counts Experience Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for accurate cash handling and transaction processing Supervising experience is a plus, especially in overseeing team members or assisting with training new staff Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively Strong communication skills to engage confidently with customers and team members Experience in merchandising, stocking, or product demos enhances your ability to succeed in this role Knowledge of grocery store operations is advantageous but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is key Join us as an Evening Cashier and become part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering outstanding service.
