As a Cashier, you will ring up sales, take payments, and issue receipts. You will provide excellent customer service by ensuring all transactions run smoothly. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in customer service and knowledge of cash register operation. Up to 40 hrs/wk available. Responsibilities Greet each customer with a smile when they enter store and actively assist while they are shopping Work the register to ring up sales and complete transactions Collect payments by cash and credit card Be responsible with handling cash Participate in product promotion events and initiatives to drive sales Maintain a solid knowledge of product inventory to assist customers with their selections Maintain clean and quality work environment throughout shift Maintain clean store front inside as well as outside throughout shift Stocking store front and cooler as needed Wear only approved attire when working Check in inventory when a delivery is made Must maintain positive work environment Be able to handle high stress situations that can occur Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Must be able to work major holidays Must be able to work evenings and/or weekends Understand money management Ability to read, count, write, and communicate clearly and effectively Understanding of sales techniques and best practices in customer service Willingness to work well in a team environment as well as alone Ability to quickly and accurately work a register Willingness to work a flexible schedule Must be able to write a check Must be able to multi task Must be able to lift 25 lbs Must be able to clean Reliable form of transportation
