Stocker / Cashier

Job Summary:

The Liquor Store Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing sales transactions. This role includes verifying customer age, handling cash and card payments, maintaining a clean and organized store, and assisting customers with product selection.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet customers and provide friendly, efficient service Operate cash register and process transactions (cash, credit/debit, checks) Verify customer identification to ensure legal age for alcohol purchases Maintain knowledge of store products, including wine, spirits, and whiskeys Assist customers with locating items and making recommendations when needed Restock shelves and ensure displays are neat and organized Monitor inventory levels and report low stock to management Follow all local and state laws regarding alcohol sales Keep checkout area clean and orderly Handle customer inquiries, concerns, or complaints professionally

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) Previous retail or cashier experience is a plus Basic math and computer skills Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weight (e.g., cases of beverages) Must meet minimum legal age requirements to sell alcohol (varies by state)

Work Environment:

Retail store setting May require evening, weekend, and certain holiday shifts Fast-paced environment with frequent customer interaction
