Job Description
Job Overview We are hiring a cashier for our gas station and convenience store. This is a straightforward retail job. You run the register, ring up fuel and store purchases, handle cash and cards, and keep the store clean and stocked during your shift. We need someone reliable who shows up on time and can handle a steady flow of customers. This is a full-time position. We have two shifts available, morning and closing. Pay starts at $15.00 per hour. Responsibilities Ring up sales for fuel, food, drinks, tobacco, lottery, and other store items using the POS system Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately and balance your register at the end of each shift Check ID for all age-restricted sales including alcohol, tobacco, and lottery Activate and pay out lottery and scratch tickets correctly Help customers find what they need and answer basic questions Stock coolers, shelves, and counter items as needed Keep the store, counter, restrooms, and fuel area clean Follow all store policies for cash handling and age-restricted sales Requirements Must be 21 or older Reliable and able to show up on time for your scheduled shifts Able to stand for your full shift and lift up to 30 pounds Comfortable handling money and using a touchscreen register Honest and dependable, with a commitment to following cash handling and ID verification policies Retail or cashier experience is a plus but not required. We will train the right person. What to expect This is an active, hands-on job. You will spend your shift on your feet, helping customers and keeping the store running smoothly.
