Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and attentive Gas Station Attendant/Cashier to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, basic math proficiency, and experience in retail or grocery store settings. Bilingual abilities are a plus to assist a diverse customer base. This position offers an opportunity to develop sales skills, supervisory experience, and product knowledge in a fast-paced retail environment. Duties Operate POS systems efficiently for cash handling and credit transactions Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service Assist customers with product inquiries and product demos when needed Upsell items such as snacks, beverages, or convenience products to increase sales Stock shelves, merchandise displays, and ensure the store is clean and organized Manage inventory levels and notify management of low stock items Supervise junior staff or trainees when applicable Maintain phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assistance requests Conduct retail sales transactions accurately using retail math skills Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times during store operations Skills Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities (preferred) Customer service orientation with a friendly demeanor Basic math skills for cashiering and retail calculations Experience in supervising or leading team members (nice-to-have) Ability to upsell products effectively to enhance sales opportunities Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and inventory management Familiarity with grocery store or retail sales environments Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries professionally This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a dynamic retail setting, providing outstanding service, and contributing to a positive shopping experience for customers.
