Lead Cashier

Overview Join our dynamic retail team as a Lead Cashier, where you will be the friendly face that ensures smooth and efficient checkout experiences for our valued customers. In this energetic role, you'll lead by example, supervising daily cashier operations, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting sales initiatives. Your leadership will help create a welcoming environment that encourages repeat business and promotes a positive shopping experience for all.

Duties Duties are:

our primary duties as a Lead Cashier include, but are not limited to: Customer Experience & Service Act as the face of the business at the front counter. Greet every customer in a friendly and professional manner. Take full responsibility for customer experience during each shift. Take orders accurately (in-store, phone, and assist with online orders). Upsell desserts, appetizers, and add-ons to increase ticket size. Leadership & Team Management Lead front-of-house staff during shifts. Train new and existing cashier staff and ensure proper procedures are followed. Create and manage schedules for front staff at both Cornelius and Kannapolis locations. Ensure team productivity, discipline, and time management. Order Accuracy & Operations Double-check all orders before handing to customers or delivery drivers. Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and accurate order flow. Cleanliness & Store Standards Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant at all times. Ensure the front area always looks professional and welcoming. Occasionally able to work in Kannapolis location, Must be available in Thursday to Sunday between 10-10PM Skills Proven experience in retail sales, cashiering, or grocery store environments with supervisory responsibilities preferred Strong communication skills in both bilingual settings (if applicable) and with diverse customer groups Proficiency with POS systems and basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy Ability to perform retail math calculations quickly for pricing, discounts, and inventory management Skilled in upselling products through engaging product demos and customer interactions Knowledge of merchandising techniques, stocking procedures, and inventory management practices Excellent phone etiquette, customer service skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Join us as a Lead Cashier and be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering exceptional shopping experiences!
