Cashier- Shrewsbury

Green's Natural Foods is seeking a friendly, reliable Cashier to provide excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. The Cashier plays a key role in creating a welcoming shopping experience consistent with our commitment to natural, organic, and high-quality products. Key Responsibilities Greet customers promptly and courteously Operate cash register, scanner, and POS system accurately Handle cash, credit/debit, EBT, and other payment methods Maintain knowledge of store products, including organic and specialty items Answer customer questions and direct them to appropriate departments Bag groceries carefully and efficiently Maintain a clean, organized checkout area Follow all company policies and procedures, including loss prevention Assist with stocking, pricing, and other duties as assigned Qualifications Previous retail or cashier experience preferred, but not required Strong customer service and communication skills Basic math and cash-handling ability Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays Interest in natural and organic foods is a plus Work Environment Fast-paced retail setting Frequent standing, walking, and repetitive hand movements Occasional lifting, bending, and reaching Compensation & Benefits Hourly wage: starting at $16/ hour Employee discounts Opportunities for advancement Green's Natural Foods is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
