Job Overview Join our dynamic retail team as a Cashier, where you will be the friendly face that welcomes customers and ensures a smooth checkout experience. This role is vital in delivering outstanding customer service, promoting sales, and maintaining an organized, efficient store atmosphere. Whether assisting with product demos or managing cash handling responsibilities, you'll play a key part in helping customers find what they need and leave satisfied. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service throughout their shopping experience Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions accurately and quickly Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed Assist customers with product demos and answer questions about merchandise to enhance their shopping experience Upsell products and promote store promotions to increase sales opportunities Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented Support inventory management through stock checks and assisting with inventory replenishment when needed Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when responding to customer inquiries or store-related calls Skills Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures Previous supervising or team-leading experience in retail environments is a plus Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for transactions and inventory counts Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities preferred for serving diverse customer bases Experience in grocery store or retail sales environments highly desirable Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and retail math concepts Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Ability to conduct product demos confidently and engage customers effectively Familiarity with upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities Excellent phone etiquette for professional communication with customers and vendors Join us to be part of a lively team dedicated to delivering top-tier service while fostering a positive shopping environment.
