Spends majority of time on the retail floor overseeing staff and ensuring exceptional guest experienceSupports training and development of team members and consistently coaches team members on service and product knowledgePromotes selling and service skills to achieve sales goals and KPIsPartners with the managers on goal setting and the establishment of daily/weekly/monthly performance objectivesStrategically plans daily agenda to ensure adequate staffing and continually monitors breaks and floor coverageAssigns and oversees daily tasks to ensure the efficiency of sales, inventory, and security functionsCommunicates daily specials, promotions, and operational updates to staffSwiftly intervenes and de-escalates guest concerns and complaintsHolds staff accountable for handbook policies such as attendance, uniform, cash handling, and other standardsEnsures the store is maintained to high standards of aesthetics, merchandising, organization, and cleanlinessUpholds security and safety measures, and ensures compliance with all applicable regulationsPartners with Management on employee behavioral issues and development, may participate in delivering constructive feedback, disciplinary actions, and performance reviewsIdentifies and communicates business opportunities pertaining to product assortment, operational processes, increasing sales, and team development, and participates in developing and executing action plansResponsible for opening and closing the store as assignedMay assume specific areas of responsibility assigned and outlined by Management, such as but not limited to scheduling, time/attendance tracking, education, accounting, supply ordering, etc.

Continuing education on using cannabis for appropriate various treatments and ongoing industry news; Assisting Dispensary Manager in inventory control and ensuring compliance; Performing all receiving, transferring, reporting, reconciling and inventory management functions within seed-to-sale software dailyMonitors dispensary for a variety of factors including but not limited to flow, staffing needs, quality of service, inventory changes, atmosphere, and securityEnsures all items are correctly priced in POS system and have accurate price tags displayed; oversight of loyalty programs, correct application of discounts in guests' transactionsReviewing employee schedules and following all time keeping policies including scheduling breaks and lunches within company policy guidelines; enacting disciplinary actions when requiredResponsible for actively listening, establishing rapport with staff and patients, resolving conflicts, and overall relationship building with staff, Management, and patientsMaintain a clean, safe, welcoming environment inside and outside the facilityOther duties as assigned Inventory Responsibilities Picks and builds orders, and products for sales ordersSupports with morning and evening inventory countsAssists in the receipt and in-processing of incoming product deliveriesAssists in inventory cycle countsPerforms other related duties as required Cash Handling Responsibilities Follows dispensary cash handling policies for drops and depositsResponsible for counting and closing daily tills and ensuring balanced countsCoordinates with Management to conduct cash countsEnsures cash is bundled for pick-up in accordance with bank guidelines Qualifications Education and Experience Proficient verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with customers and colleagues.
Dependable team player with great work ethic and availability during peak business times, including weekends.2+ years' experience in cannabis industry; additional experience in supervisor or managerial role required.
Outstanding phone and in-person guest service skills.
Experience in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to stay even keeled in periods of stress.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and ethical conduct.
Basic Math required for inventory, projections, and measurements.
Skilled in accurate cash management and inventory control.
Managerial skills with firm understanding of company policies, procedures, and SOPS. Computers and Technology Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Ability to learn, navigate and accurately utilize the company's Point of Sale & Patient data management software systems

How you'll make a difference: The Dispensary Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations in the dispensary, including aiding the Dispensary Manager, meeting guests' expectations for quality & service and cash handling. The main responsibilities of the Dispensary Supervisor include accountability for accurately utilizing state NJMMP site and Metrc Point-Of-Sales system, daily register balances, and product inventory; troubleshooting patient related discrepancies; and maintaining a smooth flow of operation daily.
