Cashier

A respected organization is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Cashier to support daily operations at aquatic facilities in Las Cruces, NM. This position plays a key role in providing excellent customer service while accurately handling financial transactions in a fast-paced and high-traffic environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks while maintaining professionalism.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Receive and process cash and check payments accurately using a cash register. Issue receipts and ensure all transactions are properly recorded. Balance cash drawer daily and resolve discrepancies as needed. Prepare and maintain daily cash reports and documentation. File receipts and maintain accurate financial records. Provide prompt, courteous, and professional customer service. Respond to customer inquiries and assist with general facility information. Follow all policies and procedures related to cash handling and record keeping. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Work effectively in a busy environment with frequent interruptions. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of six (6) months of cashiering or cash handling experience. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately. Ability to operate a cash register, calculator, and basic office equipment. Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Must be at least 18 years of age. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Ability to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
