Responsibilities Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly and assisting with product questions or concerns Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision and confidence, ensuring proper cash handling procedures Upsell additional products or services to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area, including stocking registers with necessary supplies Support merchandising efforts by organizing displays and ensuring products are properly stocked and labeled Demonstrate phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers over the phone Assist in inventory management tasks such as stocking shelves and conducting regular stock checks Engage in basic retail math to ensure accurate transaction totals and change calculations Experience Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is a plus Strong communication skills in both English and bilingual capabilities are highly valued Experience supervising team members or leading small groups is advantageous but not mandatory Ability to perform basic math accurately for retail transactions and cash handling tasks Prior experience in customer service roles within a grocery store setting will help you excel in this position Join our team today to deliver outstanding service, foster positive customer interactions, and contribute to a vibrant shopping environment!
