Job Overview - Cashier We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Cashier to join our team. This role is essential to providing an outstanding checkout experience for our customers and ensuring that transactions are handled quickly, accurately, and with a friendly attitude. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, efficient, and capable of managing a fast-paced, customer-facing environment. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for operating the cash register, processing sales transactions, handling returns or exchanges, and assisting customers with questions or concerns. Your contributions will directly support the overall shopping experience and help maintain an organized, welcoming front-end atmosphere. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and professionally as they approach the checkout Accurately scan, ring up, and bag customer purchases Process payments through cash, credit, debit, and other approved methods Handle refunds, returns, and exchanges in accordance with company policies Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked checkout area Monitor and balance cash drawer at beginning and end of shift, reporting any discrepancies to management Assist customers with questions regarding products, pricing, promotions, or store policies Collaborate with team members to maintain front-end cleanliness and support store operations Follow all company policies regarding cash handling, security, and customer service standards Qualifications Strong attention to detail with the ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure Friendly, outgoing, and customer-focused attitude Dependable and self-motivated with a team-first mindset Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Previous experience in cash handling, retail, or customer service is preferred but not required Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift light to moderate-weight items (up to 25 lbs) Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed Join our team as a Cashier and help us create a fast, friendly, and efficient shopping experience that keeps our customers coming back!
