Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, handling transactions accurately, and maintaining a welcoming shopping environment. Duties Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales transactions accurately Greet customers warmly and assist with product inquiries or demos when needed Handle cash, credit, and digital payments with precision and security Upsell products and promote store promotions to increase sales opportunities Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves and organizing displays Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and product rotation Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions and resolving issues promptly Support in supervising team members during shifts, ensuring adherence to store policies Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits Maintain cleanliness of the checkout area and ensure a tidy shopping environment Skills Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions and inventory counts Experience in retail sales, merchandising, stocking, and grocery store operations preferred Bilingual abilities are a plus to assist diverse customer needs Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities in retail settings Basic math skills for managing transactions and calculating discounts or totals Customer service orientation with a friendly, professional demeanor Ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining customer satisfaction This position offers an engaging work environment where excellent interpersonal skills and retail expertise are valued.
