The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and the ability to handle transactions efficiently. As a Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, ensuring they have a positive shopping experience while managing cash handling and sales transactions. Duties Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving any issues that may arise. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while maintaining accuracy in cash handling and balancing the register at the end of shifts. Assist in merchandising by restocking shelves and ensuring product displays are appealing and well-organized. Conduct product demonstrations to promote sales and enhance customer engagement. Upsell products when appropriate to maximize sales opportunities. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and surrounding merchandise displays. Utilize effective communication skills to interact with customers and team members professionally. Support supervisors in training new staff members when necessary. Experience Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations. Experience with stocking merchandise and maintaining inventory levels is a plus. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to assist diverse customer needs.
