We are seeking a dedicated Part-time Cashier and Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service, manage sales transactions accurately, and assist customers with product information and demonstrations. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about retail sales, merchandising, and creating a welcoming shopping environment. Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions accurately and quickly. Provide friendly and professional customer service, addressing inquiries with clear communication and courtesy. Assist customers with product demos and upselling to enhance their shopping experience. Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked appropriately. Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with precision. Support inventory management through stocking, inventory checks, and stock replenishment. Uphold phone etiquette standards when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely. Previous experience in retail sales or hardware store environments is preferred. Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures. Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills in a retail setting is a plus. Strong communication skills in bilingual settings are advantageous. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for retail math and cashiering tasks. Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and product demos enhances customer engagement.
