Wine & Coffee Shop Associate

JOB DUTIES

Maintain a positive attitude , and uphold Birdie Brand Standards at all times, being friendly & engaging with other flock members as well as customers. Learn all aspects of our coffee bar & bakery - mastering the espresso machine and specialty drink list. Create elegant charcuterie grazing boards & flatbreads for customer orders. Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries in a professional manner. Pour, recommend, and sell wine, sangria, mimosas and wine slushees by the flight, glass and bottle. (21+) Develop knowledge of retail product offerings , crafting + special events, and brand promotions that you'll share with guests. - Maintain a clean & organized sales floor at all times. Greet guests, leading them to their appropriate destinations within the facility based on reservations for events or general shopping, providing informational tours on our facility and handing customer questions with informative and friendly responses. Learn to operate the register, telephone, and special order system accurately and efficiently. Assist customers in finding products and making purchase decisions, efficiently and accurately checking them out at the payment station. Assist with day to day operational tasks, stocking and arranging retail displays, working through provided preparation and cleaning lists. •

SHIFT LEADERS

will have supervisory responsibilities in addition to what is listed above as pertains to running their shift & its events. Including motivating & coaching those who they are working with in a positive manner, handling conflict should it arise, communication with upper management, checking the work of their team on designated shift lists & procedures as well as cash handling.

SKILLS NEEDED

An unmatched dedication to friendly customer service , and a passion for wine, coffee + crafting! Effective written, verbal, and time management skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with the team. Basic math skills for cash handling and calculating discounts, promotions and pricing. Flexible schedule / open availability is preferred, but a 3 day per week commitment, including mandatory Saturdays is required. •Shift Leaders will need 1+ years experience in a related field or similar supervisory position.

PAY & PERKS

Hourly base pay is offered based upon experience, availability & commitment and is combined with a "tip pool" for a combined total range of $15-22/hr. Shift Lead positions start with a higher base, but are commensurate with experience. Upward mobility to management positions is available , and encouraged.
