Job Description

The primary function of the cashier is to receive payments for Hospital and Medical services rendered. The cashier also collects appropriate insurance information from patients at the window and provides information to the patients as requested. The cashier is also responsible for the cash drawer. This includes several daily counts of the cash drawer and the preparation on a daily cash reconciliation report. The cashiers are responsible for scanning EOB's into a day folder in HPF.
Education, Work Experience and Licensure:
  • High School graduate.
  • Associate degree in Business Administration or Accounting is very desirable.
  • Previous clerical experience required (at least one year) or additional education beyond high school.
On-the-job training of 1 year required to become competent.
