Full Job Description Job Summary:
The role's primary responsibility is to be a part of the Revenue Cycle process team. The Billing Specialist facilitates the Richter policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timey billing of the collection process of client revenue.
Job Responsibilities:
Receives and captures daily documents and files from multiple sources in relation to client deposits Enters deposits daily into client software per guidelines (both hand-key and electronic upload) Uses all available information to accurately record cash transactions Reviews and Posts deposit batches daily Reconciles deposit related transactions against client bank activity using cash reconciliation worksheet Reconciles and maintain appropriate logs in relation to cash transactions effecting target GL accounts per client specifics as required Addresses internal requests for correction/reclass entries in relation to cash applications Performs corrections in cash module Maintains a record of all cash related transactions Escalates issues preventing accurate cash application to leadership Participates in available continuing education in the LTPAC care continuum Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent 2 years prior experience in Medical Cash Posting, preferred Strong organizational and follow up skills Ability to work with and meet multiple deadlines Working knowledge of debits and credits, required General knowledge of accounts receivable processes, required Strong critical thinking skills High degree of attention to detail and best practice as it relates to cash applications Basic computer literacy skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word
