Store Cashier

Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Store Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, assist with product merchandising, and handle sales transactions efficiently. This role is vital in creating a welcoming shopping environment and ensuring smooth store operations. Prior experience in retail sales, cashiering, or grocery store environments is a plus, along with strong communication skills and the ability to multitask effectively. Duties Operate POS systems accurately for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and assisting shoppers Conduct product demos to promote features and benefits of merchandise Upsell products and suggest additional items to enhance customer experience Maintain proper merchandising by stocking shelves and organizing displays Manage inventory levels through stock replenishment and stock rotation Handle cash handling responsibilities with accuracy and integrity Ensure customer service etiquette standards are maintained when communicating with customers or vendors Assist in supervising team members when necessary, including training new staff on store procedures Perform basic retail math for transactions and inventory management Skills Proficiency with POS systems and cashiering procedures Previous supervising experience is advantageous Ability to conduct engaging product demos and upselling techniques Bilingual skills are a plus to serve diverse customer needs Strong communication skills and professional etiquette Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and retail sales processes Basic math skills for cash handling and retail calculations Customer service orientation with a friendly and professional demeanor Experience in grocery store or retail environments preferred This role offers an engaging work environment where teamwork, communication, and customer satisfaction are prioritized.
