Adawe Travel Plaza Cashier

JOB SUMMARY

The Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating the cash register, restocking merchandise, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The cashier ensures customers have a positive shopping experience while supporting daily store operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner. Operate cash register and handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately. Scan items and process payments. Restock shelves, cooler, and displays as needed. Monitor inventory levels and report low stock to management. Maintain store cleanliness (sweeping, mopping, cleaning counters, trash, bathrooms, etc.). Check IDs for age-restricted purchases (alcohol, tobacco, etc.). Assist customers with product location and inquiries. Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts. Attend all necessary training and departmental meetings as required. Maintains a professional work environment with customers, management, and staff. Must meet the attendance guidelines of the job. Must adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies. Must uphold and promote a high degree of confidentiality. Performs all other task or duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, the requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required: Must be a minimum of 18 years of age upon employment. High school diploma or its equivalent required. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Must possess excellent communication skills. Must have the ability to resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner. Must have the ability to deal effectively with and interact well with others. Must be able to work night, weekends, and holidays as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to stand, walk, or sit for long period of time. Must be able to lift 30lbs. Demonstrate physical endurance and a positive mindset while performing effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Pay:

$12.00 - $15.00 per hour
