Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
This position will use cash registers, electronic scanners, and related equipment to conduct monetary transactions with customers.
Starting Pay :
$13.25 per hour

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Punctual & dependable attendance. Provide excellent customer service. Greets customers as they enter the location. Identifies prices of products (scan/weigh) with available equipment to complete sales transactions. Accepts money in the form of cash, credit or debit cards for items purchased. Assist customers with questions or price discrepancies. Processes returns and exchanges according to store policy. Assists customers in locating various products, resolving complaints, or providing information. Bag, box, and wrap purchased items. Ensures accurate transactions by balancing cash register at the beginning and end of shift, and sales at the end of shift. Reviews and is familiar with Goodwill Central OK safety policies and procedures. Adheres to all safety rules and attends required training. Abide by policies and procedures set forth by management.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
: Perform other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Successful completion of on-the-job training.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Excellent customer service skills. Good verbal communication skills. Ability to operate available equipment, such as cash register, scanner.
Good interpersonal skills:
able to work well with a wide range of people. Basic math skills, as needed to make change and give refunds. Knowledgeable about GCO's customer-related policies.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Prolonged standing and working on a cash register or related equipment is required up to 8 hours a day. Must be able to twist, bend, and reach; ability to perform frequent repetitive motion. Good finger dexterity, talking, hearing, and visual acuity required. Lifting up to 15 lbs. required.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Outlet store adjacent to Warehouse environment. Work schedule may include days, evenings, weekends, holidays and occasional overtime, when approved by manager.
