Cashier/Gas Attendant

Responsibilities Operate the POS system accurately to process cash, credit, and debit transactions for fuel and retail items Greet customers warmly, providing excellent customer service through clear communication and friendly assistance Conduct product demos when necessary to highlight features and benefits of merchandise or services Assist customers with questions about products, store layout, or promotions using effective phone etiquette and communication skills Upsell additional products or services to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure the sales area is clean, appealing, and well-maintained Manage cash handling procedures responsibly, including balancing registers at shift end and maintaining accurate transaction records Support merchandising efforts by arranging displays and ensuring products are properly labeled and stocked Assist with inventory counts and product replenishment to keep the store fully stocked and inviting Promote safety protocols at all times while maintaining a positive attitude in a grocery store environment Experience Previous cashiering experience in retail or grocery store settings is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for handling transactions accurately Supervising experience is a plus, especially in overseeing team members or assisting with training new staff Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening, are essential for engaging with customers confidently Demonstrated ability to upsell products and perform merchandising tasks effectively in a retail environment Experience with product demos or promotional activities can help enhance customer engagement This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their retail sales skills within a lively team environment.
