Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, professional service at the checkout counter Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process transactions swiftly and securely Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments with precision and integrity Assist customers with product inquiries, including conducting product demos when appropriate Upsell relevant products and promote ongoing sales or promotions to maximize store revenue Maintain an organized checkout area by stocking supplies and merchandising products effectively Ensure excellent phone etiquette when answering customer questions or taking orders over the phone Support inventory management through stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and conducting stock checks Demonstrate strong communication skills to engage with diverse customers in a bilingual environment if applicable Provide exceptional customer service by addressing concerns promptly and courteously Experience Prior cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math is advantageous Supervising experience in retail or customer service roles is a plus, demonstrating leadership potential Ability to perform cashier duties while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, to connect effectively with a diverse clientele Experience in grocery stores or retail sales environments will help you excel in this role Embark on a rewarding journey where your energy fuels positive shopping experiences!
