In this role, you will be the friendly face that greets customers, assist with food preparation, and ensure smooth operations in a lively, fast-paced environment. Your enthusiasm for food service and culinary skills will contribute to delivering delicious Hawaiian cuisine with a smile! This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the food industry while sharing the aloha spirit with our guests. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist with their orders at the cashier station, ensuring a positive first impression Prepare ingredients and assist with food prep tasks such as chopping, assembling, and portioning to support kitchen staff Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep area, adhering to food safety standards Handle cash register transactions accurately, including processing payments and giving change Support kitchen staff with basic cooking tasks when needed, including meal assembly and plating Ensure all food handling procedures meet health regulations and safety guidelines Restock supplies and ingredients regularly to keep the prep station well-equipped for busy service periods Requirements Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or culinary environments is highly preferred Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus Familiarity with menu planning, food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling safety standards Strong knife skills and experience in meal preparation or catering are advantageous Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication skills and a friendly attitude toward customers and team members Basic understanding of food safety protocols and sanitation procedures Prior kitchen experience or background in the food industry will help you excel in this role This position is ideal for individuals passionate about Hawaiian cuisine, eager to develop culinary skills, and excited to contribute to a warm community atmosphere.
