Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, handle transactions accurately, and contribute to a positive shopping experience. This role requires strong communication skills, proficiency with POS systems, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced grocery store environment. Bilingual abilities are a plus to assist diverse customer needs. The Cashier will also support merchandising, stocking, and product demonstrations as needed, ensuring the store remains inviting and well-organized. Responsibilities Operate POS systems accurately to process sales transactions Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments with precision and integrity Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly and addressing inquiries courteously Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area Support merchandising efforts by stocking shelves and organizing displays Manage inventory levels through stock checks and reporting discrepancies Follow the closing routine which consists of cleaning, vacuum, moping ect. Experience Previous cashiering or retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for cash handling and transaction accuracy Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities to serve diverse customers effectively Knowledge of merchandising, stocking procedures, and retail operations is advantageous
