Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Landscape Supply Front Desk Sales Associate, where your energy and enthusiasm will drive customer satisfaction and sales success! In this pivotal role, you will be the friendly face greeting customers, providing expert product guidance, and ensuring smooth operations at the front desk. Your proactive approach and excellent communication skills will help build lasting relationships with customers while promoting our extensive range of landscaping supplies. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting landscape supplies, including mulch, soil, aggregates, and setting up deliveries. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for sales transactions, cash handling, and receipt issuance. Be knowledgeable about our products and provide detailed information to help customers make informed decisions. Offer complementary products so customer does not have to go to several stores. Manage inventory by stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and ensuring product availability. Answer customer inquiries via phone with professional phone etiquette, providing timely assistance or directing calls appropriately. Set up delivery if needed. Assist with basic retail math calculations for pricing, discounts, and order totals while maintaining accuracy. Supervise or support other front desk team members as needed to ensure efficient store operations. Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or landscaping environments is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential. Demonstrated proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures. Strong communication skills and willingness to learn our products and pricing. Update website would also be helpful Experience in supervising or helping other team members is needed occasionally Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for transactions and inventory management. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor. Knowledge of landscaping products or experience working in a retail environment focused on outdoor supplies is advantageous.
